2020 GATEWAY OPEN STUDIOS VIRTUAL TOUR

May 22 • 11am to 5pm

Welcome to the DMV region’s largest-of-its-kind arts celebration and festival—Gateway Open Studios Tour. You’ll have behind-the-scenes access to studios, galleries, cultural centers, and performance spaces throughout the Gateway Arts District in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Whether you are walking, running, riding, or driving, we encourage you to plan ahead to make the most of all there is to see and do.

Getting to the Gateway Arts District

From the Red Line

Take the Red Line to the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Station, then take the 83, 86 or T18 bus to the Mount Rainier Circle. Stop here to see the studios in Mount Rainier, OR continue north to 39th Street for the Gateway Arts Center, OR to Longfellow Street for studios in Hyattsville.

 

From the Green Line

Take the Green Line to West Hyattsville Station, then take the F8 Eastbound towards Cheverly Station or The Bus 13 Southbound to Rhode Island Avenue. Additional routes include F1 and F2. The Bus 13 Northbound will take you back to the West Hyattsville Station.

 

By Bicycle from Washington, DC

Ride the Metropolitan Branch Trail to Monroe and 8th Street, then safely navigate through neighborhood streets about two miles to the Mount Rainier Circle. Continue up Rhode Island Avenue or follow the Northeast Branch Trail for off-street riding to Hyattsville. More information on bike trails at TrailLink.

 

Parking

Metered and free street parking is plentiful throughout the Gateway Arts District. There are also several free parking lots designated on the Open Studios Tour Map.
